Mission:<\/strong> The Choeur international<\/em> (International Choir), founded and directed by Conductor and Artistic Director Michel Brousseau, has the dual mission of organizing tours and projects with an artistic vocation on an international scale, and at the same time offering amateur singers the opportunity to give concerts with professional artists.<\/p>\n

Program: Mozart\u2019s Requiem<\/p>\n

Guest artists: Noriko Hashimoto, soprano (Japan \/ Canada); St\u00e9phanie Pothier, Mezzo Soprano (Canada); Pascal Charbonneau, Tenor (Canada); Adam Zaremba, Bariton (Poland); Gianluca Luisi, pianist (Italy)<\/p>\n

The Choeur international begins its tour in Salzburg with two concerts. The first is held at St. Andrew\u2019s Cathedral and the second at St. Gnigl The Choir then moves to Vienna, where it gives two concerts at St. Michael\u2019s Church, and a third concert at the famous St-Stephen\u2019s Cathedral, in Stephensplatz the following day. The choirs final two concerts takes place in Prague on the 29th at St-Nicholas Cathedral near the famous Astronomical clock.<\/p>\n

The Choeur international begins its tour in Scotland with two concerts. The first is held at St. Ninians Cathedral in Perth, and the second at the famous St. Giles Cathedral, in Edinburgh. Program : La Grand-Messe<\/strong> by great Qu\u00e9bec poet and interpreter Gilles Vigneault, and the Oratorio The Arge\u015f Monastery<\/strong> Romanian national composer Iacob Mure\u015fianu.<\/p>\n

Guest artists from Romania: Corina Klein, soprano; Gabriela Hazarian, mezzo soprano;<\/p>\n

Liviu Iftene, tenor; Mihai Irimia, tenor; Dan Popoescu, baritone; Ana-Maria Negrea, pianist.<\/p>\n

The theme of the Romanian Tour was the discovery and promotion of Canadian and Romanian cultural values. French music lovers were thrilled to rediscover these two works thanks to Maestro Brousseau and the Choeur international<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Concerts: the Cath\u00e9drale Saint-Pierre (Montpellier); The Church of La Madeleine and the Church of Notre-Dame, (Paris); The Cath\u00e9drale de Saint-\u00c9tienne (Metz); And the Cath\u00e9drale Notre-Dame de Reims, where the Choir was invited to present the two works by Th\u00e9odore Dubois as part of the celebrations marking the 800th anniversary of the Cathedral.<\/p>\n

Program: Great Arias from Verdi operas (Il Trovatore \/ La Traviata \/ Nabucco<\/strong>), Donizetti (Lucia di Lammermoor) and from Puccini\u2019s Messa di Gloria<\/strong><\/p>\n

Carnegie Hall, New York June 12, 2010<\/h5>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Maestro Brousseau and the Choeur international<\/em> were invited to perform the Messe solennelle de Saint Remi<\/em><\/strong> by French composer Th\u00e9odore Dubois at Carnegie Hall, in New York City, with the New England Symphonic Ensemble. This event marked the first presentation of this work on a stage in the United States. This work, as well as the Messe de la d\u00e9livrance<\/em><\/strong> by the same composer, have since been recorded under label ATMA Classique.<\/p>\n
