About this event
Join us for an unforgettable evening to the sound of two renowned French composers from the end of the 19th century.
Taking advantage of the fact that this year marks the 100th anniversary of their deaths, the Société philharmonique du Nouveau Monde is dedicating its concert to them this coming June. It’s also a great way to mark the 25th anniversary of the SPNM taking place this year.
This concert is also included in the program festivities surrounding the 175th anniversary of the founding of the City of Sainte-Thérèse. What a great way to celebrate with music!
Come discover La Messe solennelle de Saint Remi, a major work in the repertoire of Théodore Dubois and rediscover the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré, an undisputed masterpiece. Two rich and moving choral works, one in homage to the founding of French Christianity by the Archbishop of Reims and the other, to enrich the repertoire of works of Christian rituals.
Under the direction of maestro Michel Brousseau, the orchestra and choirs of the Société philharmonique du Nouveau Monde, welcome you on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 8 p.m., at the Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila church located at 10, rue de l Church of Sainte-Thérèse.
